Irving Hamer applying for new job

(WMC-TV) - The former Memphis City Schools Deputy Superintendent who resigned amid scandal is applying for a new job.

Irving Hamer stepped down after an internal investigation revealed sexual comments he made about a female coworker.

Action News 5 has learned Hamer is applying for the superintendent position in the Pinellas County School District in Florida.

The Tampa Bay Times blog notes Hamer's time in Memphis and Miami-Dade, but makes no mention of the resignation.
