Job help available this week in Dyersburg

DYERSBURG, Tenn. (AP) - Those attending an employment assistance workshop Wednesday through Friday in Dyersburg will leave with a resume in hand.
It's another in a series of similar workshops that have been held recently across the state. This one, at the Family Living Center, is for National Guardsmen, reservists and all veterans and military spouses.
The event will focus on analyzing skills that veterans have attained, their strengths and weaknesses, effective job search strategies, writing resumes, mock interviews and approaching the job search process.
Organizers said it is also for those who might feel under-employed.
John Alexander of the state Department of Labor and Workforce Development said entry-level military training puts veterans ahead of almost everyone else.
