(WMC-TV) - A metal crowbar creates a deafening sound when it strikes a concrete floor. Imagine one of them striking your head at full force.
Memphis Police say three women used two crow bars and a knife to attack a fourth woman during a recent robbery.
"They must have already knew her or had something against her or something cause I just don't see three women," said Sarita Flournoy of Memphis.
"You are in Memphis though," said Shauranna Green. "Don't nothing surprise me in Memphis."
The three suspects are accused of attacking the victim outside a neighborhood market on Mt. Moriah near Ridgeway. Some nearby residents told us they know women who can be just as mean as men.
"It don't really matter who it is," said Jamar Williams. "It's something people really shouldn't be doing."
According to an affidavit, the victim was struck several times with the crow bars in the head and face before she was robbed of her cell phone and $18 cash.
"Things like this do happen," said Williams. "And it's a shame."
Two of three women charged, Tiffany Jones and Cecily Jones, may be related. However, no one in the apartment complex listed as their last known address seemed to know them.
All three suspects are charged with aggravated robbery and are due in court later this month.
The victim was able to pick them out of a line up.
