The Oakhaven Boys & Girls Club is cleaning up after vandals targeted its future clubhouse.
The new club site was just days away from starting renovations on the building when the vandals struck.
The building was stripped of most of its copper wiring and hardware causing damages estimated to be at about $110,000.
"Took the air conditioner units out of the back, went inside and cut the wiring, anything that they could find copper in," said Evelyn Young, Boys & Girls Club executive director.
Executive Director Evelyn Young says Deloitte's annual community service day of IMPACT was perfect timing.
"This group had already planned a cleanup day with us so again the timing was impeccable," she said.
Deloitte volunteers arrived at the site to begin cleaning up at 8:30 Friday morning.
"To have an opportunity like this to give back, enjoy the company of your colleagues and give back to the community is just wonderful," said Deloitte Manager Bob Hester.
Officials hope to have the Oakhaven Boys & Girls Club back on track to open in January.
