Sheriff's office: These sex offenders are breaking the law

(WMC-TV) – The Shelby County Sheriff's Office is looking for dozens of sex offenders who are in violation of the Sex Offender Registry Act.

The sheriff's office posted on its Facebook page that there are currently 55 warrants out for people who are breaking the law in Shelby County alone.

The registry requires sex offenders to report their addresses within 48 hours after moving and acquiring a new job. They are also required to check-in periodically throughout the year.

The Shelby County Sheriff's Office posted a sampling of photos of sex offenders they are looking for. The people pictured are in violation of the law as of June 26, 2012.
