(KAIT) - A woman has been "criminally banned" from St. Bernards Medical Center after Jonesboro police say they found her dressed in scrubs, pretending to be a nurse.

Sonya D. Ostermiller, 32, was arrested Wednesday morning. At the time of her arrest, the officer said Ostermiller was "dressed in blue nurses scrubs with a stethoscope around her neck."

Ostermiller reportedly told the officer she was a nursing student at ASU-Newport. When asked if she had a required student I.D. badge, she said she was not given one. The police officer contacted the college and was reportedly told she was not a student.

According to the incident report, Ostermiller "has been going to the hospital every day this week." It was unknown if she had attempted to "give care to anyone at the hospital."

After learning that Ostermiller was wanted on a warrant violation in Hoxie, she was arrested. She was also criminally banned from St. Bernards and all of its property. Ostermiller was then taken to the Jonesboro city limits where she was turned over to a Hoxie police officer. She is currently being held in the Lawrence County Detention Center.
