(WMC-TV) – On the trip that pitted the Golden State Warriors against the Memphis Grizzlies in the Grindhouse in early April, Warriors Head Coach Mark Jackson may have had more to worry about than just the game.

According to "The Smoking Gun" Jackson was the target of an extortion plot.

Accused in that plot:the coach's alleged ex-stripper mistress Alexis Adams, and former Memphis resident and ex-convict Marcus Shaw.

The site reports compromising photos of Coach Jackson were taken during his affair with Adams.

The Smoking Gun obtained records revealing Adams and Shaw, whose relationship is unclear, tried to extort a six figure payout from Jackson inside a Memphis hotel in exchange for them not selling the explicit photos.

Shaw also allegedly showed Jackson recordings from the time of his affair.  The coach, who is also an ordained minister, gave Shaw $5,000.

The F-B-I began investigating weeks later when a new extortion threat came through e-mail.

This week Adams and Shaw were arrested, their conspiracy revealed through text messages obtained by the FBI.

On Thursday, Action News 5 investigators went to Shaw's listed Memphis address, there was no one home.

The site reports Jackson's family and Warriors brass are aware of the investigation.
