(WMC-TV) - A weekend party sponsored by a group that released an obscene video that went viral in Memphis has been canceled.

People were tweeting and emailing about a big Team Taboo party planned for the weekend.  But all of that publicity has changed things.

"It is pitiful.  It really is.  I mean these kids these days, don't know they ain't got no self esteem," stated Samantha Brown, a shocked viewer.

Brown is talking about the video shot in a Memphis club that has gone viral.  Team Taboo held the party at Club Elements on Winchester last week.  It shows people having sex and engaging in all sorts of behavior that is not usually done in a public place.  It attracted so much attention the district attorney is investigating whether any laws were broken.

We received an email that said the next Team Taboo party would be at Zodiac on Mt. Moriah but when we went inside, we were told there was no Taboo party planned.  The people Action News 5 spoke with said they just bought the establishment and are trying to get it ready.  They said they do not know anything about Team Taboo.

Kenneth Lee told us by phone that he is a spokesperson for Team Taboo.  He said he had no idea sexual activities were happening at the parties.  He said the women at the parties are "just Memphis girls".

He also said the party planned for this weekend at a club down town was canceled.

Lee said that Team Taboo plans to have more parties.  They likely will be wild, but not as wild as the last one.  Lee said Team Taboo doesn't feel it has broken any laws.
