SOUTHAVEN, Miss. (AP) - The city of Southaven has approved a conditional use permit for North Delta Adult Daycare to operate.
It is expected to open in about 45 days.
Josephine Bell, executive of operations for North Delta Health Systems, tells the Commercial Appeal (http://bit.ly/OvJDZa) that the center will provide assistance to individuals with Alzheimer's disease or some type of physical handicap.
Bell says the center will offer hot meals for breakfast and lunch, arts and crafts, computer games and bingo activities and park outings for the clients.
She said onsite nurses will be at the center to help administer medication to clients. The staff will also include an activities director, a nutritionist and a center director.
Transportation will be provided by the center to pick up day care clients, if needed.
