(WMC-TV) - A man is struggling to survive after a shooting inside a Memphis grocery store Friday afternoon.
The Breedlove Grocery Store morphed into a crime scene after an employee was shot in the head.
After the shooting, the store's owner Omar Samter, an immigrant from war torn Somalia, struggled with the violence that severely injured his employee.
Police were called to the store overnight after an unruly customer who had been kicked off the property returned with a gun.
While police recovered the weapon, the customer got away and Samter believes the same man with a different weapon returned Friday.
Samter said the man told workers that he would come back, burn the store and kill someone.
However, police have yet to confirm that the two incidents are related.
Now, investigators are trying to solve a crime that had few eyewitnesses and left a store employee in the hospital with a life-threatening gunshot to the head.
Samter said his employee was a good worker who sometimes held two jobs and frequently worked 7 days a week.
