WEST MEMPHIS, AR - (WMC-TV) – A West Memphis mother is visiting a Hollywood set recreating her real life horror story of the West Memphis three.
Reese Witherspoon and Colin Firth are on the movie set outside of Atlanta filming "Devil's Knot."
Reese Witherspoon plays Pam Hicks, the mother of one of the murdered 8-year-old boys Stevie Branch.
And Pam Hicks, who is also there, says Witherspoon looks a lot like her.
"It's a truly amazing experience," Hicks said. "I'm just blown away by how much the characters look like the actual people."
Pam Hicks is excited to be in the Atlanta area where the Movie "Devil's Knot" is being filmed.
The book by Mara Leveritt tells the story of the West Memphis Three.
Terry Hobbs told me he wishes they would just leave him out of the movie. That's not happening.
Damien Echols is played by James Hamrick.
Justin Castor plays Jason Baldwin.
Jessie Misskelley is played by Kristopher Higgins.
John Mark Byers is played by Kevin Duran and Colin Firth plays defense investigator Ron Lax.
Pam Hicks says from what she has seen the actors are doing a good job. She says she spent several days a week ago in West Memphis with Reese Witherspoon.
"We took a walk through the woods and I just gave her a walk down memory lane," Hicks said.
A walk that can be fun and tough to watch acted out in front of you.
"It's an awesome experience and a little bit emotional," she said.
Reese Witherspoon is pregnant. It is not clear how that will be covered up for the movie.
