Sentencing rescheduled for teen who raped baby sister

(WMC-TV) – The Cordova teen convicted of raping his baby sister was scheduled to be sentenced Wednesday, but that sentencing has been rescheduled.

James Prindle, who was 15 years old when arrested back in 2010, was found guilty in June 2012.

The now 17-year-old teenager raped his 23-month-old sister in August 2010.

The case stirred up support from all over the country from people who said he did not have anything to do with his sister's assault.

Investigators say Prindle was babysitting his two younger siblings at their apartment when some other boys came over. The toddler was assaulted and they fabricated a story about a home invasion to cover it up.

The other boys were adjudicated to juvenile court.

Prindle had the chance to speak at his last court appearance, but he chose to remain silent.

His sentencing was rescheduled for July 18.
