(WMC-TV) – A Tunica County probation officer is under arrest and accused of embezzlement.
According to Attorney General Jim Hood, Patricia Nicole Brown, 40, embezzled probation offender fees to use for personal expenses.
Brown was employed by the Mississippi Department of Corrections (MDOC) when the offenses allegedly took place.
She and her attorney waived a probable cause hearing.
Brown is charged with three counts of embezzlement. If convicted, she faces up to 20 years in prison.
