(WMC-TV) - With the Olympics less than 15 days away, there is lots of excitement and energy for the athletes who will be representing Team USA in London.
Some of the finest swimmers in the country are in Knoxville for a week of training before heading off to Europe.
The Olympic Training Camp is being held at the Allan Jones Aquatic Center at The University of Tennessee.
Stars of the camp include Michael Phelps and Ryan Lochte. Both are expected to bring medals home.
"For me right now the only thing I'm worried about is myself and preparing myself to go out and represent my country and step up wearing the stars and stripes and try to swim as far as I can," Phelps said.
"This facility was great and camp was amazing. Everyday you see something amazing from other swimmers and it's definitely a pleasure to be a part of team USA," Lochte said.
"If you have that passion for it you'll be able to push yourself so much harder just because you know it's going to be worth it," said Olympic Swimmer, Missy Franklin.
There are also Olympic Swimmers from the Mid-South in Knoxville this week. Along with some two thousand fans who came out to support the athletes.
