(WMC-TV) – A man has been taken into custody for questioning following a Monday night drive-by shooting at a place called "The Front porch".

The shooting happened around 9 p.m. and the gunman then fled the scene. He lead police on an overnight chase through North Mississippi, doing whatever he could to get away.

Two flat tires did not even stop him.

At some point, the suspect jumped out of the car and ran into the woods.

Helicopters hovered over the area, and canines were called in to help with the search.

It was Action News 5 photojournalist Doug Hexamer who spotted the suspect walking down the road around 1:30 this morning.  He reported him and Desoto County officials took him into custody.

Our cameras were rolling when Stephon Henerson was cuffed by officials.  He has not been charged but is being questioned by police.

The chase ended in a wooded area off I-69 in DeSoto County.
