(WMC-TV) – You have probably heard a lot lately about early voting and the election that will take place on August 2.
If you have wondered what exactly you will find on the ballot, you have come to the right place.
The most talked about ordinances on the ballots have to do with whether each suburb should be allowed to create municipal school districts. The argument about whether it is legal has gone back and forth. But as of Jul. 12, a judge ruled that he will not stop the vote.
You will find those ordinances on the ballot for each individual suburb.
In addition to the municipal schools vote, you will find ordinances involving the suburbs' sales tax. You will have the chance to vote on whether the suburbs should increase the sales tax from 2.25 percent to 2.75 percent.
Early voting has already gotten underway. Be informed before you cast your vote.
