Khalil Hall showed up early to fill out an application for a McDonalds job.

"Well it really doesn't matter what position I get but I'm mainly getting a job to help out around the house you know," said Khalil Hall, job applicant.

Last year, Hall worked at an amusement park. This year, he is looking for work in the restaurant business.

"Actually yeah being 16 you know, yeah, I got to give my mom at least half of the check you know but I still got a little money left over to go and buy stuff for myself stuff for my brothers," he said.

"We're looking for both crew and management part time, full time," said April Jones, McDonald's spokeswoman.

Right now, McDonald's is looking to fill about 1,000 positions. Managers say they people they hire must have the right stuff.
