(WMC-TV) – The library card identification debate continues, but a recent lawsuit could have at least part of the problems at the poll put to rest.
A new lawsuit has been filed over library issued photo cards as voter identification.
Memphis City Attorney Herman Morris confirms a hearing is scheduled Wednesday on a temporary restraining order that would allow library issued photo cards as a means of voter ID.
The suit was filed on behalf of a Memphis resident and the city.
The state coordinator of elections has said only state or federally issued photo ID's would be accepted at the polls.
