(WMC-TV) – A Shelby County employee charged with aggravated sexual battery is now also being investigated on accusations of possessing child pornography.

The Memphis Police Department's Crimes Against Children task force opened an investigation into Joey Camp on June 25.

The charge against him is aggravated sexual battery. He is being held in the Bartlett County Jail. Meanwhile, court records indicate he is now being investigated by Memphis police after an affidavit revealed a teenager found "photographs of females that appeared to be ranging from age five to age eight" on his computer.

On July 5, the crimes against children task force raided Camp's house. The search warrant log says investigators collected eight computers, seven hard drives, three flash drives, two cameras, and other assorted electronics and information storage devices.

Police did not confiscate any laptop computers, but they say Camp has a laptop that he carries to and from work at the county shop.

Even though he resigned his position Tuesday, he may still be eligible for his pension benefits.

"State law says that you could lose your pension if you're arrested and charged with a crime that has a direct involvement with your duties. Right now that's all still currently under investigation," said Shelby County spokesman Steve Shular.

Camp has not yet been charged in the child porn investigation.

He is due back in court in Bartlett on Monday.
