COPY-TN children among the poorest, early voters' ballots may be void, heat advisory continues

We have a lot of news coming into our newsroom this Wednesday afternoon.

Andrew Douglas is looking into a report that says Tennessee children are some of the healthiest kids in the south. But with that news, comes some bad. The same report calls Tennessee children some of the poorest. Andrew will break down the numbers for us on Action News 5 at 4 p.m.

Jamel Major is working to learn more about ballot issues early voters are having in Shelby County. Some of those ballots may even have to be thrown out. Find out why many are still lining up to vote early despite the problems at the polls.

Nick Kenney sent back some photos from his day on the water. He rode with the U.S. Coast Guard to see just how low the Mississippi River actually is. Kenney claims to have some "stunning visuals" in his story that will air at 6 p.m.

Meanwhile, the heat advisory continues for most of the Mid-South. We can expect the heat index to approach 105 degrees.
