Tenn. diner shows support for Olympic swimmer

PIGEON FORGE, Tenn. (AP) - An Olympic swimmer from East Tennessee is getting a lot of hometown support from the catfish diner where her father is a manager and where she once worked.

Claire Donahue, a Lenoir City native, is part of the U.S. Olympic swim team competing in London. On Saturday, she qualified in the women's 100 meter butterfly and will go on to the semifinals in the evening.

Her father Chris Donahue has been the general manager of Huck Finn's Catfish restaurant in Pigeon Forge for 16 years and his daughter worked there as a greeter.

WATE-TV reports that while the family went to London, the restaurant has decorated for the Olympics and even named a fish and chips dish after her.
