ESPN.com reports Memphis native Justin Timberlake has agreed to buy into the minority ownership group of the Memphis Grizzlies.
Marc Stein with ESPN says prospective owner Robert Pera is the one who recruited Timberlake to become part of the team and sources say the singer and actor has committed to joining Pera's team of minority partners.
Timberlake is a well known Grizzlies fan, and Sources tell ESPN.com that Timberlake plans to be active with the Grizzlies and is making a meaningful investment into the team.
The actual sale of the team, which comes with an estimated 350-million dollar price tag, has not been finalized, and must have formal approval from the NBA before the start of the season.
