(WMC-TV) – A 72-year-old man was missing for nearly one week and now that he is home safe, Action News 5 is hearing from his family.
Laundia Foster went missing Saturday. He was last seen sitting on his daughter's front porch.
His daughter, Alexia, spoke with Action News 5's Nick Kenney just moments after hearing the good news that her father was found safe.
"I was so excited. I was so happy and relieved," said Alexia. "It was very, very hectic. I was just wondering, 'Is he okay?' We were just looking, getting up every morning, looking for him."
Wednesday morning, an elderly couple dropped Laundia off on the 1700 block of Castalia at a family business where he used to work.
His whereabouts over the past three and a half days remain a mystery.
"We've been trying to figure out the same thing. Where he's been? And where has he been going for all these days?" said his daughter.
Laundia has Alzheimer's and dementia. He also takes medication. He had not taken his pills since he vanished over the weekend.
But police say he is not hurt and he appears to be just fine.
"I'm just relieved he's back so I just know what to do and what not to do if he's out here, not in the front yard, he's going to go in the back with my baby," said Alexia.
She is now better prepared to make sure her father never disappears again.
Alexia says she is grateful to the officers who worked this case. She is also thankful for the elderly couple who dropped Laundia off safe and sound.
