(WMC-TV) – "We had a gentleman in a vehicle appears he got his foot caught in the brake and gas pedal," said Germantown Fire Chief, John Selberg.

That mistake made for some scary moments at a Germantown cleaners and nail salon, as a silver Honda plowed through both businesses around 2:45, Wednesday afternoon.

The vehicle finally came to a stop in the nail salon.

"I'm glad nobody hurt real bad," said Ben Dang, the salon owner. "Thank God nobody hurt."

Dang said his wife was at the counter with a customer when the car missed them by 6 inches, pinning an employee behind a table.

"We did have one still trapped in one of the tables temporarily till we could get them free pinned up against the wall from the vehicle," Dang said.

Dang was at home when he got the call about the accident.

"I say wow is everybody okay and they say yeah they okay," Dang said.

Investigators said two employees and one customer went to the hospital with minor injuries.

Exclusive chopper five video showed where the unidentified man drove through the side of the cleaners. An employee at the cleaners said he had just gone to the back of the store before the crash.

Workers pulled out twisted metal from the broken windows while contractors tried to figure out how to get the car out without pulling more of the wall down.

"Thank God that's all that got injured," Dang said. "Nobody got killed."

The man driving the car has not been identified. He was not injured. Germantown police said charges are pending.
