(WMC-TV) - We have new details on a school bus crash in Johnson City, Tennessee that sent dozens of students to the hospital Thursday.
At this time, we know 67 passengers were on the bus at the time of the crash. According to Tennessee Highway Patrol spokeswoman, Dayla Qualls, the driver overcorrected after the right-side tires went off the road. in
More than two dozen students were hurt during the crash. And 18 passengers, including and adult, went to the hospital. However, at least five of those passengers were released from the hospital overnight.
Also, one of the injured students had to undergo neck and back surgery, and is now in critical condition.
