UT fraternity suspended after allegedly giving members alcohol enemas

(WMC-TV) - It's a potentially deadly trend that party-goers are participating in – alcohol enemas. And the Phi Kappa Alpha fraternity at The University of Tennessee has been suspended after members gave each other alcohol enemas.

Investigators say 20-year-old Alexander Broughton of Memphis was dropped off at UT Medical Center early Saturday morning in critical condition and unresponsive.

Officials say his blood alcohol content level was greater than .4, which is considered toxic and potentially deadly.

The University has suspended the fraternity chapter for 30 days or until a decision is made about its future. Meanwhile, police are also investigating the situation.
