(WMC-TV) – It is a sad ending for missing teen James Jones Jr. His body was found Wednesday on a rural road in Eastern Tipton County.
An investigation has been launched, and his remains have been brought to Shelby County for an autopsy.
Jones was last seen Tuesday night at a gas station in Covington.
His car was found 24-hours later on Highway 179, not far from where he was last seen.
Investigators say blood was found inside the vehicle.
"Evidence at the vehicle indicates there was foul play," said Chief Donna Turner, Tipton County Sheriff's Department.
The victim's friends have been interviewed, but no arrests have been made as of this morning.
