(WMC-TV) – The cousin of the 18-year-old found murdered Wednesday night is facing charges in connection with the death.
Daniel Farrow, 21, has been charged with first degree murder, tampering with evidence, abuse of a corpse, and theft of property.
TBI investigators say Farrow shot James Jones Jr. in the head Tuesday night and put his body in the passenger side of his vehicle.
We're told Farrow left the body in a field on the side of the road and abandoned his cousin's car.
Investigators say he then got rid of the gun in a field near his home
Family members are finding it hard to believe that Farrow would commit murder.
"You know, he ain't a bad person," said Willie Farrow, Daniel's uncle. "He and James Jr. are like brothers."
James Jones Junior's body was located Wednesday evening after a day of searching after his family reported him missing. The teen's car was located in the morning, and right away, police believed he had been the victim of foul play due to the amount of blood found with the car.

Daniel Farrow's uncle believes the shooting was an accident.
"People say he went out there and killed him. He ain't no murderer," said Willie. "Everybody ought to give him a chance. Find out what happened before they put something out there." he said.
