If your family needs help with gifts this holiday season for your kids, now is the time to act.

The Salvation Army kicked off its annual Angel Tree Christmas assistance program on Oct 5.

Applications are being taken at the Angel Tree warehouse located at 3710 Vulcan Dr., which is located off of Allied Drive near the Nashville Zoo.

Families in need can register through Oct. 24 at the times below:

  • Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to noon and 1:30 p.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Thursday evenings from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.

As of Oct. 12, more than 1,000 families have already registered for the program.
