(WMC-TV) - Several Memphis teens are facing theft charges after one of their own mothers turned them in when she found stolen televisions in her house.
Tamara Strickland is in jail on a $20,000 bond after, according to a police affidavit, her mother called Wal-Mart and told security that her daughter was on the way to the store to steal TVs and a stereo system.
She told security that her daughter and two other guys had just stolen three other TVs and stashed it at her house.
Steven Hampton and Sean Blackburn are also in jail. Their bonds are each set at $10,000.
After the trio left the store with the second set of TVs, police pulled over their getaway car and found Wal-Mart merchandise inside.
Strickland, Hampton, and Blackburn all face drug charges too. Police say they found marijuana in the car.
Investigators retrieved the three TVs that had been stashed at Strickland's mother's house.
