(WMC-TV) – Three separate break-ins in Batesville, Mississippi were caught on camera.
"It's bad right here in this town so close to Walmart and everything," Batesville resident, James Cosby said. "It's pitiful very pitiful to want to break in and steal stuff."
At three businesses in Batesville within a couple of miles of each other, there is wood where glass should be on the doors after crooks broke the glass with a brick.
Mi Pueblo is one of the businesses vandalized about an hour after the manager closed the restaurant.
Mi Pueblo manager, Oscar Salazar said when a manager showed up to open the restaurant on Sunday he thought there had been an accident.
"He checked the video and called police," Salazar said.
The restaurants video surveillance system captured two men in hooded sweatshirts waiting outside the restaurant. They could be seen pacing back and forth and looking around. Eventually one of them smashed the glass front door. Soon after, one of the crooks reached across the counter toward the cash register.
At that point he pushed his hoodie back and you could see his face. Salazar said the thieves got the cash drawer open, but they did not get away with much.
"One hundred dollars for the total," Salazar said. "We spent more money to fix the door. I think they'll break in for 5 dollars if they want."
Police in Batesville have not yet determined if the three burglaries are connected.
Investigators are hoping someone knows something about the crimes and will contact police.
