(WMC-TV) - Many of us rely on high-speed internet, but shockingly 40 percent of Desoto County residents do not have it at all. But help is on the way.
The board of supervisors is asking citizens to give feedback on their internet capabilities. Leaders want to know who has high-speed internet, who cannot receive it, and which providers are out there.
"We'll find out where the holes are so we'll be able to take all of our information back to our public service commissioner and they're going to have providers that come in and bid in January on the areas that are under served," said Lee Caldwell, Desoto County Supervisor.
