(WMC-TV) – A Memphis police officer is relieved of duty with pay as an investigation is done into whether she got fake prescriptions filled at local pharmacies.

Paula Jamerson, 39, turned herself in after a warrant was issued for her arrest. She is charged with four counts of obtaining a controlled substance by fraud/deception/forged prescription.

Investigators believe Jamerson filled four fraudulent prescriptions for Phentermine, which is a diet pill, at local pharmacies between December 2011 and August 2012.
