MEMPHIS, TN - (WMC-TV) – A $10,000 reward is now being offered for information leading to the arrests of two men wanted for murdering 44-year-old ATM customer Roneccia Luster around 7:15 Tuesday night on South Perkins.
"We heard a lot of shooting out there then a crash, and then more shooting," recalled Paul Foster.
He runs an auto repair shop within sight of the ATM and the utility pole into which police say Luster crashed her car after getting shot.
"I thought she was just maybe on the phone or a car cut in front of her why she hit the pole," said Foster.
He and others soon discovered Luster was dead.
"It's a sad situation," said Don Berry.
A headlight from Luster's car still sits in front of River City Dental Lab where Berry artistically crafts false teeth. He spent part of Tuesday night tending to Luster.
"Once a couple of guys got the door open I was able to check and see if there was anything I could do to help save her or revive her," recalled Berry. "At that point she was really limp and unresponsive to anything."
The pair wanted for murdering Luster shot another man near the McDonald's while attempting to carjack him. Those who witnessed the aftermath of this crime spree hope the reward money helps get them off the streets.
"Doing all this crime don't make no sense," said Foster.
