(KAIT) – A 17-year-old is charged with murder in connection to the stabbing death of another teenager.
According to the Greene County Prosecutor's Office, 17-year-old Sarah Ann Dobias is being charged with first-degree murder in the stabbing death of Nicholas Zurosky on July 21.
Here is a quick timeline of the events leading up to the murder charge:
- July 6 - Nicholas Zurosky shoots 18-year-old Lisa Steele
- July 12 – Joshua Wallace stabs Nicholas Zurosky to death
- July 12 – Joshua Wallace hangs himself in the White River Juvenile Detention Center
- Oct. 8 - Sarah Ann Dobias is charged with 1st degree murder in Zurosky's death
Paragould Police say on July 6, Nicholas Zurosky and Lisa Steele were playing with a gun, when the gun went off killing Steele. Police later named Zurosky a suspect in Steele's death.
On the day of Steele's funeral, police say 16-year-old Joshua Wallace admitted to leaving the funeral and confronting Zurosky, stabbing him to death. Police say he blamed Zurosky for Steele's death. Later that night, Wallace hanged himself in the White River Juvenile Detention Center.
Prosecutor's now say that Wallace had interaction with Dobias, and she knew of his intentions but did nothing. On Oct. 8, prosecutors charged Dobias with first-degree murder in connection to the stabbing death of Zurosky.
A judge set her bond at $500,000 and she is scheduled to appear in court again on Nov. 21.
