(WMC-TV) - A Shelby County mother has been missing for more than 24 hours, her family is taking the disappearance hard.
Police issued a City Watch for 31-year-old Karen Thomas, who goes by her middle name Denise, Monday.
"I'm doing all I can do to find my wife. I just want her to come home. My kids are missing her," said husband Terrance Thomas.
Karen Thomas' abandoned 2004 Chevrolet TrailBlazer turned up at the Garden Ridge Center on Summer Avenue Monday morning . Police did not release information on what they found inside the vehicle.
Family members said she was going through a divorce and was recently threatened by an ex-boyfriend. They also said someone keyed her SUV days before her disappearance.
Police got a call from Karen Thomas' husband, after she did not show up to work Friday. She's an accounts payable specialist at the downtown Memphis DoubleTree Hotel.
Thomas was last seen leaving her home on the 2700 block of Welchlawn Cove Thursday night around 10.
Thomas is 5'6", 95 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. She was wearing a dark shirt and blue jeans when she disappeared.
