Copper stolen from MLGW this week

(WMC-TV) - A copper thief strikes again. Burglars swiped more than $1,000 worth of copper wiring from MLGW this week.

It happened at the utility's large warehouse complex in North Memphis Monday. We have been told the crooks may have gotten in by jumping on a roof.

In total, about 150 feet of wiring was stolen. An MLGW spokesperson says the company's losses are not made up through utility rates.
