(WMC-TV) – The teen charged in the violent beating of an elderly woman in Clarksdale is now the suspect in another violent crime.
This time, the same juvenile, who is 14 years old, is a suspect in the assault of a 4-year-old boy in Tunica County.
77-year-old Shirley Gordon shared her story with Action News 5 in August.
Clarksdale Police say a black teenager followed her home, beat her with a piece of asphalt, and then robbed her.
Days later the teen was arrested and charged.
Clarksdale Police say the juvenile's initial bond was set at $115,000 but was later reduced to $15,000 and the he bonded out.
Now, that same teen is behind bars again. He has not been formally charged, but he is the prime suspect in the beating of a 4-year-old boy.
Because he is a teenager, investigators are not saying much about the crime right now.
Tunica County officials say charges may come as soon as Monday when they are able to get him in front of a judge.
