(WMC-TV) – The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is retracting the list of facilities released Tuesday that supposedly received shipments from the company linked to a meningitis outbreak.
Tuesday morning, the FDA released a list of 74 companies that they said received shipments from the New England Compounding Center (NECC). NECC is the company that was linked to the meningitis outbreak.
The list was used by the Tennessee Department of Health to notify facilities they had received medications that could be deemed unsafe.
The FDA now says they are working to correct the list and they will repost it when they are sure it is accurate.
