(WMC-TV) – The car of a missing Arkansas college student has been found, hours from where he was last seen. Investigators are ramping up their search after what they found inside the vehicle.

Josh Wilson was last seen Sunday morning at the Northeast Arkansas Federal Credit Union in Gosnell, Arkansas. Late Tuesday night, his car was found in Mountain Home, Arkansas.

It was the first break in a case where investigators had literally no clues about what happened to the 21-year-old college student.

"We just found out. We just received a phone call from Mountain Home, Arkansas," Gosnell Police Chief Bobby Trump said. "His vehicle was located up there. His keys were in it. His guitar was in it. His hoodie when he left the house was in it."

Surveillance video shows Wilson by himself at the bank. He withdrew $60 and nothing appeared out of the ordinary. But he has not been seen or heard from since. His car was discovered three hours away in Mountain Home parked at a satellite business. It appears it has been there since Sunday afternoon.

His family and friends are waiting at his parents' home where he lived for any word of what happened to the college student.

"I feel like it's great because it's something," Josh's father Carl Wilson said. "We've been sitting here for two days with nothing. At least we know where his car is and at least something about where he may be."

Family members say Wilson has never left without telling family or friends where he is going.

"I went to Walmart to get groceries. He was asleep on the couch. When I came back, he was gone and I didn't think anything about it. I thought he went to his girlfriend's," said Wilson's mother, Cassie Wilson.

Josh Wilson is described as a white man, about 5'8" tall, and 160 pounds. He has brownish-blonde hair and blue eyes. He was last seen wearing a dark gray hoodie with fur trim, navy or black shorts, and a dark beanie cap. He drives a 2003 royal blue Ford Mustang with Arkansas license plates that read 545 MEL. Wilson's car has a gray front fender on the driver's side.

Wilson's parents say he missed work Monday at the college where he attends school. He has not contacted his girlfriend. Wilson's phone was left on the charger in his room.

Gosnell Police Chief Bobby Trump, who is still in Mountain Home said the car is now at the sheriff's department being processed and fingerprinted. The chief says there's nothing to indicate foul play. But no one knows where Josh Wilson is.

Anyone with information about Wilson's whereabouts should contact the Gosnell Police Department at 870-532-8545.
