(WMC-TV) - Signs along busy Poplar Avenue warn travelers to expect delays Saturday for the annual Race for the Cure.
Parking should not be a problem on Saturday.
Race officials say there are around 5,000 parking spaces in the area surrounding the Shops of Saddle Creek.
Parking can be found along West, Exeter, and Farmington. You can also park in residential areas, just as long as its not in front of a driveway or mailbox.
Germantown between Neshoba and Poplar will be closed Saturday morning until around 11 a.m.
West Farmington between Germantown and Poplar will be closed until noon Saturday.
There is a shuttle service that will begin at 5:30 a.m. Saturday at the Agricenter International, Shops of Forest Hill, and Carrefour Mall. If you are walking or running in the race, you need to be on the shuttle by 7:15 a.m., otherwise you may miss the race.
The race expo starts at 5:30 a.m., warm ups start at 7:15 a.m. and the race starts at 8 a.m.
