(WMC-TV) - This week's "Your Turn" segment comes from the Action News 5 Facebook page where people are debating whether it's a good idea for retailers to begin their Black Friday sales on Thanksgiving Day. Some people like the idea; others do not. We chose a comment from Dana Carpenter Smith. She thinks it's a bad idea. In her words:
It is sad that people are so selfish and only concerned with how their family celebrates. They refuse to see that some families live long distances apart. All the time they get to spend with each other is precious. But hey, who cares about them as long as you get to go shopping on Thanksgiving Day? Oh, and while you are out shopping on Thanksgiving, why don't you ask those workers how many of them voluntarily gave up time with their families so you could shop.
That's Dana Smith's turn. Now it's your turn. To comment on this segment or anything else, email email@example.com or call 800-465-1210.
