(WMC-TV) - We now know the names of the people killed when a plane crashed into a home in Jackson. And this morning, we are hearing from the owner of the plane.
All three people onboard the plane were killed. One person inside the home escaped with minor injuries.
"They were family....his grandkids," said Michele Lantham, who owned the plane.
According to Lantham, the victims were traveling to an FAA safety meeting in Raymond Miss., which is outside Jackson.
Shortly after take-off at a nearby airport, the pilot requested permission to return to the airport. The plane then crashed into a home near the city's zoo.
John Tilton and WC Young were inside the plane at the time of the crash.
The identity of the third person inside has not been released.
At this time, we are not sure what caused the plane to crash. However, we will continue to monitor this story, and provide additional details as new information comes in.
