(WMC TV) - Major retailers like Amazon, Target, Walmart and Best Buy stretch Cyber Monday deals through what you might call a "cyber month."
In the past, e-tailers noticed a spike in sales on the second Monday in December. That's when consumers realize they're running out of shipping time. So eBay christened that day "Green Monday." This year, it's Monday, Dec. 10. Look for significant sales from select retailers that day.
A week later is Dec. 17: "Free Shipping Day." Hundreds of retailers will offer free shipping and other deals to online shoppers, including delivery to the lower 48 states guaranteed by Christmas Eve.
By Dec. 22, it's typically too late for online purchases to be delivered in time for the holiday. So that day -- the last Saturday before Christmas -- is "Super Saturday." Retailers often make a last-ditch effort to move merchandise off the shelves that day, usually at deep discounts.
