U of M will decide on benefits for same-sex couples

(WMC-TV) – This morning, there's a crucial vote looming at The University of Memphis. According to the Daily Helmsman, Faculty Senators will meet Tuesday to decide whether same-sex partners should have the same benefits given to married faculty and staff on campus.

If the bill passes in the Faculty Senate, it will proceed to the U of M administration.

The administration and the Tennessee Board of Regents have to approve the measure for it to be put into place.
