Memphis apartment complex goes up in flames again

(WMC-TV) – This morning, crews were fighting another fire at Lakeview Park Apartments, formerly known as Somerset Apartments. And this is not the first time the apartment has been involved in an arson investigation.

At this time, we know this fire started just after 1:45 Friday morning at the two story vacant apartment complex.

Crews were on the scene in less than 10 minutes to battle the blaze.

It took them about 35 minutes to get the fire out, and there were no injuries.

Keith Staples, Battalion Chief, says this fire is suspicious in nature, similar to the other fires that have happened here, and they have not forgotten about worried residents that still live in the complex.

"Our arson investigators are working closely with individuals in this area to find those who may be responsible," Staples said.

Arson investigators are at the scene now, trying to get to the bottom of who caused this fire.

They are asking the public to be vigilant and call Crime Stoppers at 528-CASH with information.
