International Paper gets hit with a fine

(WMC-TV) – We have learned International Paper is paying out $38,000 in fines to the Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality.

The company emitted too much hazardous metals dust during a January 2011 test - exceeding emissions.

It also failed to label three oil containers as required. The department found the violations in May and August 2012 inspections.
