(WMC-TV) – A man who kidnapped his ex-girlfriend and her two children two years ago has been convicted of the crime.
During the trial, evidence proved that Frank Hunter forced his ex-girlfriend, 26, and her two small children into a house where he took her cell phone, punched her repeatedly, threw her into a glass table, and hit her with a drinking glass.
When she tried to escape, prosecutors say Hunter threatened to kill the victim and her kids.
The attack happened in August 2010 at the woman's home on Dellwood Avenue in Frayser.
She was taken to the hospital and treated for the injuries she received in the assault.
Hunter, 20, was found guilty Wednesday of aggravated kidnapping, assault, reckless endangerment, and domestic assault.
He faces up to 30 years in prison for the aggravated kidnapping charge.
Frank Hunter is scheduled to be sentenced January 7, 2013.
