(WMC-TV) –The United Health Foundation's Annual Health Rankings have been released.
This 2012 survey can tell you a lot about which states are considered the healthiest and which states are not. For example, Tennessee for example ranked 39 in this survey.
The survey measured factors like the rate of obesity in each state. And included everything from the amount of health funding to the incidence of violent crimes.
The number of babies born with low birth weight also contribute to a state's ranking along with the number of people with diseases like cancer and diabetes.
The troubling news is that Arkansas ranked 48 in the survey followed by Mississippi which came in at 49.
When it comes to the top of the list Vermont ranked in the number one spot. And Hawaii came in at number two.
