It was a day packed with meaning, superstition, surprises and romance. But for 6th grade student Alyssa Kiser who turned 12 on the triple digit day, it was simply another day at school. "They were telling me happy birthday," said Kiser. Alyssa said she felt special enough to flat-iron her hair and she has plans for the weekend. "We're going to go out to dinner today, and then Saturday go skating," she said. What's extra special about this date is that another triple date won't come around for nearly a century on 01-01-2101. That's 89 years. Couples around the world lined up to exchange weddings rings while others celebrated newborns coming into the world on 12-12-12. "Today being 12-12-12, I feel like it's just another day," she said. Perhaps a day to feel lucky in love and in life, but for Alyssa - she's more excited about next year when she'll turn 13 Copyright 2012 WMC-TV. All rights reserved.
